Education and Memberships
Attorney Bobby K. Newman received his bachelor’s degree in finance in 1991 from the University of Texas at Austin. In 1994, Mr. Newman earned his law degree from the South Texas College of Law. He is admitted to practice law in all state district courts in Texas, the United States District Court-Southern District of Texas and the United States District Court-Eastern District of Texas. Mr. Newman is a member of the Houston Bar Association, Family Law Section, and acted as its vice president director, and/or its treasurer from 1999 through 2004. Deemed by the Houston Chronicle as one of Houston’s Most Aggressive Divorce Lawyers. He was a member of Family Law Inns of Court from 1998 through 2003. Mr. Newman has also been recognized in Texas Monthly magazine in the Super Lawyer edition for his legal services and was voted as Houston Top Lawyers by Houston magazine. He is often cited by news media as an expert on family law.
